HOW WOULD YOU RESPOND TO ALLEGATIONS THAT DATING AGENCIES ARE 'SLEAZY'?
ANSWER:
I agree most are sleazy, not least because of the way many UK dating agencies sell / have sold false hopes to men, because the men/women ratios are stacked against them... International agencies, especially affiliates, are stealing from many men, by making up bogus letters from fictitious ladies...
Fixing these problems (and many more) is the main reason I set up. There is nothing sleazy about successfully going to the pictures, or going for dinner on a first date, with a real lady that is mutually interested. The concept of security and integrity has been a prime factor throughout my development of Romantic Adventures, and that is what will set me apart from the rest. The world is mans oyster. The UK is women's.
EXTRA NOTES:
In the UK, men are disadvantaged in terms of dating potential, whether chances to date derive from social circles, bars, clubs, work, networking, or dating agencies. One day they will catch up with single Americans and Europeans, and hopefully they will do it without getting scammed so much. Like I say, the reason why I set up. Globalism is more apparent now than ever after the credit crunch and finding an international partner as a wife does not go against the concept of World Peace. It's a basic human right to found a family! Women leave their husbands and men leave their wives all the time, usually for big reasons, worst case a bigger house... Separations happen usually because one or the other is very unhappy in that relationship, not because they believe they can upgrade. Misconceptions are the scourge of social and global progression, and bringing integrity, and equality in dating is important for the happiness of a nation. Nobody upgrades at the drop of a hat, in fact, it is a norm for people to stick together, through thick and thin.
WHY KIEV?
ANSWER:
Kiev is a burgeoning capital city and Ukraine is one of the places where there are the most single women. First thoughts were to set up in Moscow. I was aware of the Moscow theatre siege (October 2002). I thought the terrorist threat from Chechnya was to high in Moscow, to encourage future tours, so set up in Kiev instead. The lifting of visa requirements and regular direct flights was also influential.
HOW DOES THE AGENCY WORK IN KIEV?
ANSWER:
We look after guys from the moment they land in Kiev. For example, 10 meetings could be arranged over a 7-day period, at different café's, bars, or restaurants. This is where the real fun begins with Romantic Adventures, and it is the most straightforward aspect of the overall programme. All the work to get to this point is done in advance, and it is the comprehensive structure of my two websites that make it all possible.
There is always an air of excitement at meetings, and it helps that the man and women have been previously communicating. Clients decide later if they want to meet again / keep in touch (we can't dictate this), to take things further.

The Romantic Adventures website is the key tool for establishing communications with ladies.
Men join at www.romanticadventures.co.uk where they send all their messages to ladies, and read their replies. Kiev ladies, etc, register at www.english-dating.com, which is written in Russian, and this is where they can reply to letters from men, if necessary with the aid of our translators. This may sound simple, but it is actually very unique and very comprehensive compared with my competitors. Comprehensively empowering ladies to reply themselves is the major step away from the low practices undertaken by my American, Russian, and Ukrainian competitors, and affiliates thereof.
If a man chooses Romantic Adventures, he communicates with real ladies, so that when he decides to go and meet those ladies, it is fully agreed with the ladies in advance, so that he in fact meets ladies "he" chose. Men can communicate with unlimited ladies for a nominal subscription. They can ask for ladies "direct contact" details (personal email and phone numbers). They can travel to see ladies with our full support (recommended); or they can venture to see ladies without our full tour support. If our tour support is requested, then our job is to guide the client from the moment of his arrival, but mainly our role is to facilitate each introduction, and interpret if necessary, so that the first ice breaking meetings take place as smoothly as possible.
WHY DO THEY TARGET BRITS?
ANSWER:
They would prefer to find a nice man in their own country – but the odds are stacked against them, just like the odds are stacked against men in the UK. They are not economic migrants like some from China or Thailand. These women want love and a financially secure private family life for their future family, and safety of their children, as all women do all over the world.
They won't leave a poor loving household, to be with a rich unloving man. They will not give up the best years of their lives to be with a man who mistreats them. Those who think they will do anything to "escape" are misinformed. Many ladies have access to computers and have mobile phones. Romantic Adventures is genuine and ran with the highest integrity - I know it and my members know it, because they can phone the ladies if they want.
EXTRA NOTES:
We take for granted what they dream of: a private house (rather than sharing a small flat with an extended family) a car to travel independently, plenty of food and warmth, constant hot water, safety and security for their children.
A very small proportion of ladies dream of a better future. Dreams very rarely come to fruition. There is no Welfare state and they have to work long hours for nominal pay, even if they are highly educated and have children. Family and friends have no choice but to pull together to survive. Most survive very well on very little, and they have their level of happiness. Many flats are constructed over 8 or 16 stories, and some are 10 or 20 appartments wide – amazing to see at night time.
WHAT DID YOU DO IN THE MARINES?
ANSWER:
I served 6 years in the Royal Marines prior to 1994. My role included active service in Belfast and a tour to Norway; I was selected to serve in the Intelligence Cell at 42 Commando. My responsibilities included security of a key NATO and National Command Centre and other highly sensitive facilities.
EXTRA NOTES: (verbatim from Royal Marines Testimonals):
Steven Fowler joined the Royal Marines on 20 June 1988. On completion of the Royal Marines' 30 weeks' training and selection process, he served in 42 Commando as a rifleman. In this role he was part of a 28-man team, expert in all infantry and commandos skills including mountain and arctic warfare.
He was subsequently selected to serve in the Intelligence Cell at 42 Commando, where his duties included the collation and dissemination of intelligence on a daily basis. This employment saw Marine Fowler undertake a demanding deployment to Norway.
During his last appointment in the Royal Marines, he was part of a small force responsible for the security of a key NATO and National Command Centre and other highly sensitive facilities. Steve left the Royal Marines on 26 July 1994 after serving approximately six years.
WHY DID YOU SET UP THE DATING FIRM?
ANSWER:
During my travels the shortfalls and scams in the dating industry quickly became apparent. I thought I could do better than them. I had ideas about fixing the problems; hence improving upon the services offered by the Americans, Russians and Ukrainians. I ruled out setting up a UK dating agency as a futile proposition, due to the bad experiences I had with them.
EXTRA NOTES
He became involved with international dating because he thought there was a good chance he might be single forever, unless he took action I set up Romantic Adventures because I thought I could help many other men have more control over their dating potential, aside from putting bread on the table.
Steve got divorced when he was 31 years old, and found he was still single when he was 36. He tried various UK dating companies, and failed miserably. A friend of a friend introduced him to the international dating industry, which brought about Steve's initial interest. This curiosity resulted with Steve's first trip to the Ukraine, when he was 36, which developed in to many more trips later, and the progression that ultimately became Romantic Adventures.
ARE THEY ANY DIFFERENT TO BRITISH WOMEN?
ANSWER:
I think there are no differences between UK and Ukrainian women. All women are individuals. Their aspirations might vary. It is more common in these women to prefer stability in a relationship by choosing a man 10 or 15 years older. They think a man who has his life and goals set out clearly would be better able to care for a family.
Maybe a two-up- two-down and a Vectra, would suffice as opposed to a detached house and a BMW, and the like. I don't like to stereotype but maybe they could have lower aspirations in terms of what constitutes financial security and quality of life.
EXTRA NOTES
If we took a cross section of 30 year old ladies from the Ukraine and the UK, you would find that there would be more slim ladies over there, but that is because lifestyles vary significantly and the Western disease of obesity that is affecting many of us has not caught up with them yet. There are still some large women in the Ukraine, and there are plenty of large women on my site – There are also plenty of older ladies on my site, I do not discriminate with age. Because I allow ladies who may not be regarded as attractive as others, is another example that it is the real deal. Women do try very hard to look womanly and feminine in the Ukriane.

EXTRA NOTES:
He says there were some small steps researching and building the website before this, but most of the progress has been made since 2006. Romantic Adventures is a "trading" name of Steve's Company Future Wealth Limited, which was initially set up at companies house as Future Security Limited in 2001 when had security contract for three years.
Background information:
Ex Royal Marine, Steve Fowler, now age 41 was born in Chorley. He went to Duke Street junior school and Southlands High School. He is the youngest of three brothers and a sister. His parents separated when he was eight. His dad is 76, retired and still living in Chorley, but some, not all family members moved a short distance away. His mother later re-married and is retired in Morecambe. Steve has many relatives in the Chorley area.

Steves relatives, brothers, aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; most live in the Chorley, Leyland, and Blackburn area.
Over 30 years ago, his parents were publicans of the Plough Hotel on Pall Mall and the Oddfellows arms on Brook Street. His dad was quite well known in the local area for playing the hamonica with his friend Edmond Lane from Copull (deceased). Steve's parents separated when he was eight years old.
Steve also used to go to Chorley boxing club in the 80's when John Lucas was Mayor of Chorley. From the club, Steve mainly remembers Mark Ashton, Howard Morgan, the Crook brothers, Sean Leighton, Ste Winstanley, Warren Crook, and even the older boxers like Tony Sweeney. He wonders how all those guys got on since then? His main friend during the last few years at school was Glen Morris (now Clayton Le Woods), who won the Rubic Cube Championship at Park Hall – Steve was a runner up.
